Pauline was the girl who was captured by Donkey Kong in Donkey Kong and Mario came to save her. Contrary to popular belief Pauline is not a princess. She is just a regular girl. Originally, Pauline, had blonde hair but then they made her a brunette to be able to tell her apart from Princess Peach. It is said that she is Mario's neice which would mean Luigi is her father.
