- Shakespeare was born on April 23 and died on April 23. (Not same exact day.)
- The first recording of a human voice, Thomas Edison, was "Mary Had a Little Lamb".
- It took Da Vinci 10 years to paint Mona Lisa's lips.
- It is believed that Shakespeare was 46 around the time that the King James Version of the Bible was written. In Psalms 46, the 46th word from the first word is shake and the 46th word from the last word is spear.
- Weird Al and Conan O'Brien were both valedictorian of their graduating class. (These guys are not normally thought of as wise guys, but they must be if they were valedictorian.)
- Charles Dickens took a mere six weeks to write "A Christmas Carol."
- Mark Twain wrote Tom Sawyer, the first book ever written on a typewriter.
- When writing "A Christmas Carol," Charles Dickens considered several names before using Tiny Tim. Other possible names for the character were Small Sam, Little Larry and Puny Pete.
